This family-run firm, founded in 1948 by Henri Mathieu, today works in the fields of restoration, re-edition and new creations.
Managing Director Régis Mathieu steers a team of 25 compagnons who work in full respect of the traditional techniques implementing noble materials such as rock crystal, glass, porcelain, silver, bronze, gold, wood). The deeply-rooted, forward-looking firm also innovates. It has invented new electrical miniaturizations for lamps, chandeliers, sconces and girandoles.
Mathieu Lustrerie has been awarded the Living Heritage Firm award by the French Culture Ministry. Today, Régis Mathieu has opened a Lighting Museum where some 60 original light fixtures and reproductions of lighting from the 17th to the 19th centuries are on display to the public.
